Cleaning Capabilities

We own and operate the most modern, well-equipped heat exchanger cleaning facility in the United States. Our facilities and cleaning capabilities allow us to simultaneously clean 16 pieces of equipment weighing up to 100,000 pounds each through a variety of processes including:
high pressure Hydroblast, Waterlance, Sandblast and thermal Bake-out.

Cleaning is most often performed on equipment that will be returned to service however equipment cleaning prior to permanent removal from service and disposal is a popular service provided by Dunn.

Hydroblast & Waterlance Cleaning
.

Hydroblasting and Waterlancing are the most commonly used methods to clean process equipment. We offer a superior method of equipment cleaning utilizing safe and economical, state of the art technology and specially designed blast nozzles capable of flowing heated water to 100 GPM (Gallon Per Minute) and 12,000 psi to provide the temperatures, volumes and velocities determined necessary to completely clean a variety of equipment types.

The Hydroblast and Waterlance cleaning building encompasses nearly 50,000 square feet and includes five shell-side and seven tube-side cleaning bays, each   remote-controlled and requiring only a single operator.   All twelve bays are served by overhead cranes and are connected directly to our onsite wastewater treatment facility. All process wastewater is treated onsite.

All cleaning equipment is permanently positioned in individual, isolated bays for safe operation. Cleaning bays are totally enclosed not only to ensure safety but also to prevent environmental hazards common to onsite cleaning operations such as aerosol drifts or odor releases that occur during onsite cleaning in the field. Each Hydroblast bay control room is completely enclosed to protect our cleaning operator from all hazards.

Sandblast Cleaning

Dunn uses three completely enclosed Sand Blast houses for abrasive cleaning of equipment.   Capabilities include cleaning of tube outside diameters and inside diameters for your most sensitive tube testing methods as well as other types of equipment requiring this aggressive cleaning methodology. Operators are required to use suitable personal protection clothing and a safe, filtered air supply.

Bake-out Oven Cleaning

The Bake-out Oven thermally decomposes product residue while maintaining the operating integrity of the equipment.   This fully-licensed oven is capable of handling equipment weighing as much as 60,000 pounds.   The oven minimizes equipment cleaning costs and is an integral component of both our equipment cleaning and equipment disposal services.
